Clara Belle Manis

Clara Belle Manis, 72, of Sedgwick, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She has lived in Sedgwick for 49 years, moving there from Cash. Clara Belle was of the Baptist belief and attended the Sedgwick Baptist Church. She graduated salutatorian in 1961 from Cash High School. She loved to travel and was always set on go. Clara Belle enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Bud Manis, of the home; sons, Randy Manis (Lesa) of Sedgwick; Rodney Manis (Kari) of Jonesboro; sisters, Regina Walker (Grady) of Jonesboro; Genève (Larry) Farley of Cash; Ruthie Rains of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Erika Bruce (Justin); Sarah Manis; Kenlee Manis; and Sam Manis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rick Hart and Dennis Truxler officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Scotty Ward, Tony Johnson, Byron Gallentine, Justin Bruce, Barton Riethemeyer and Jeff Worlow serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are her Sunday School Class from the Sedgwick Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1 until service time at Emerson Chapel.
