Clancy James Kilburn

James Clancy Kilburn, 70, of Paragould, Arkansas, died Saturday, January 29, 2022. Friends and family always called him Clancy. He had lived in Paragould since November 2021, moving here from Kingman, Arizona. Clancy was the youngest of four children born to John and Joanne Bulmer Kilburn. He was a member of the Beaverton Four Square Church in Beaverton, Oregon and had lived there since the 80’s. This was where he met and married his wife, Jo. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was very active in his local Rotary Club. He enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball and softball and always enjoyed snow skiing. When the television was on, he watched football! It’s been said that he did an awesome Ostrich Dance when prompted. He retired from the US Bank after many years of service. In addition to Rotary, he served his community as a board member of the Library Club. This was a place for new artist to present their books for review and critiques. This is how he met the famed author, Cheryl Strayed. Music was always one of his passions, he played the piano, guitar and drums. He was also an accomplished antique car appraiser. His favorite pastime was being with his family, especially the grands and great grands. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Jo Kilburn, of the home; son, James Mason Jr. and wife Laura of Bay, Arkansas; daughters, Brandy Mason of Kingman; and Emily Kilburn of Hillsboro, Oregon; brother, David Kilburn of Joshua Tree, California; grandchildren, Brittany Vergara (Phillips) and husband Eddie of Paragould; Khadija Almayahi of Portland, Oregon; Jacob Mason and Ali Almayahi of Kingman; Andrew Mason and wife Devin; Nicole Kastel and wife Leslie; Alison Riggs and husband Zach; Amanda Rodrigues and husband Sergio, all of Jonesboro; great grandchildren, McKenzie and husband, Kris; Atty, Payton, Maddie, Preston, Tyler, of Paragould; Atlas, Charlotte, Alice, Eli, Zoey and Dakota of Jonesboro; great great grandchildren, Mercy, and Gwen. He also had many other family and friends, along with his fur babies, Bailey and Schatzie. Funeral services will be 6:00 PM, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5:00 until service time.
