Christopher Wayne Mcbroome

July 23, 1969 — February 10, 2014

Christopher Wayne McBroome, 44, of rural Bono, died Monday, February 10, 2014 at his home of natural causes.

Born in Jonesboro, Chris lived most of his life in the Jonesboro-Bono area.  He worked several years in the construction business and was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.  Chris enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing video games with his son, Kyle, and playing with and tending his five dogs and companions, the most special one being "Nibbs", and enjoying his family.

Survivors include his son, best friend and the love of his life, Christopher Kyle McBroome of Jonesboro;

His parents: Kathy and Wayne Woods of Jonesboro, who he never failed to check on and make sure they were okay;

His step-daughter and buddy, Megan Angel of Jonesboro;

4 brothers: Jason Woods and Clay Woods, who were best friends and pals, both of Jonesboro and Adam and Matt McBroome of Hardy;

A step grandson, Riley Eakes;

His grandmother and greatest supporter, Curley Smith of Jonesboro;

Special cousins, Scott and Lexie McGowan of Jonesboro;

His best "dog lover" aunts and uncle, Karen and Jay Gamblin and Paula McGowan of Jonesboro and his precious nieces and nephews, Jayme, MaKala, Ashlee and S.J. Henderson and Mandy (Matt), Raelee and Colt McQuay of Brookland.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris Ballard, Lee Guest, Taran Guest, Chuck Horrell, Chris McGinnis and James Eakes.  Honorary pallbearers are John Beason and Jimmy Garland.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Curtis Shatley officiating.  Burial will follow in Herman Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
