Christopher John Bearden

Christopher John Bearden, 52, of Jonesboro, passed away on December 11, 2023 at his home. He was born on June 2, 1971 in Newport and had lived in Jonesboro most of his life.

When he was 15, Chris moved to Woodbridge, New Jersey with his parents, where he graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1989. He attended Kean College in New Jersey before moving to Georgia and then back to Jonesboro.

Chris found success in the IT industry and continued his education in this field throughout his career. He loved to tinker and work on projects. He rebuilt the transmission in his car by himself and could solve any problem. Chris could do anything he set his mind to and mastered everything he tried. He loved science projects, cooking, and sharing his passions with his son, Will. Chris was a great dad and loved his son more than anything in the world.

Chris is survived by his parents, Gina and Gary Dzurenda, of Jonesboro; his son, William, of Bay; mother of his son, Rachel Gadberry, of Bay; ex-wife, Donna Bearden, of Jonesboro; aunt, Terry Rimer, of Hinesville, Georgia; former mother-in-law, Patsy Gadberry, of Bay; former sister-in-law, Sheena Carver, of Bono; and several other family members.
