Christine White

Christine White, 81, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in Lake City, Christine lived much of her life in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and was retired from General Electric in Jonesboro. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed yard work and flower gardening.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents: Albert Lee and Heddie Maxberry Kirby, her husband, Charles “Bud” White, 2 brothers, Mairl Kirby and Bud Kirby, and 1 sister, Faye Newcom.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Pam White of Jonesboro and Rick and P.Q. White of Sunnyvale, Texas;

4 grandchildren: Kelly White, Brandon White, Bryan White and Micah (Brooks) Beard; 1 great granddaughter, Ava Beard, and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 1:00-2:30 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 in Philadelphia Cemetery with Curtis Shatley officiating.
