Christal Desha Adair
JONESBORO — Christal Desha Adair, beloved daughter of Jim and Linda Williams Adair , was set free from her little earthly body on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents James and Virginia Adair, James and Cordelia Williams, and a special cousin Kathy Honnoll
She is also survived by her brothers James Adair (Emily) of Jonesboro and Dr. John Adair (Meghan) of Madison, Wisconsin and by her nephews and nieces, Quinn Adair, Ivy Adair, Levi Adair, and Rosie Adair. She is also survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who loved her dearly with a special thank you to Danny and Teressa Honnoll.
Christal was known to her family as Dee Dee. God sent this Angel to live on this earth September 4, 1971. She always had a smile and enjoyed talking to anyone who would talk to her. She was a person of special needs but she had special talents. Dee Dee was able to remember your name, the year and date you were born and the day of the week your birthday fell upon. It did not matter where she was - at a store, restaurant or church- if it was close to your birthday she would call it out. Everyone was amazed and looked forward to Christal sharing this talent of remember birthdays.
Along with that talent she could quote scripture and she amazed church members with her love for God.
In Sunday school she would call out names of friends for special prayers and blessing, especially the ones that brought her doughnuts and candy bars to enjoy!
Christal was a friendly soul. She could talk and blend in with any group and she enjoyed laughing and having a good time. You always knew when she was around because she had a very unique laugh that would lift you up when you heard it.
Christal loved catfish and ice cream and was ready to go eat at the drop of a hat. She loved her mother and father with a child’s love to the end. When her younger brothers came along she was challenged to share her mother and father with them. Over the years she watched her brothers grow up and was very proud of the fine young men they turned out to be.
She loved watching movies, playing her music and she especially loved the movie “Fried Green Tomatoes”.
She was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church and loved her church family, Birthdays, reading, country and gospel music, hidden word puzzles, hamburger, catfish dinners, spending time with her grandparents, laughing and school days at TLC.
We mourn the loss of her life but also celebrate the life she led and the lessons she gave us. She taught us how to enjoy life. She inspired us to be better human beings, and taught us all how to really love others. Christal was a gift to each of us. May we never forget this beautiful gift. May we give strength and support to her family as they find their way in this world without her. May we honor her memory every time we look up to the sky, look past the clouds and see a rainbow.
