Cheryl Schisler Jones

Cheryl Schisler Jones, 54, of Jonesboro died of natural causes, Sunday, May 13th at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Retha Schisler of Jonesboro and one brother, Roger Schisler, also of Jonesboro.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Jones, of the home, one daughter, April West of Jonesboro, one brother, Lyndal Schisler and his wife, Nancy, of Springdale, AR., and numerous nieces and nephews. Over several years, Cheryl and Danny influenced the lives of 14 foster children.
A lifetime resident of Jonesboro, she was an active member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church where she participated in the Chancel Choir & Praise Team. Cheryl was a charter member of the Willing Disciples Sunday School Class and enjoyed Disciple Bible Study.
Cheryl retired from the Jonesboro Public Schools in July 2005 after teaching in several Jonesboro elementary schools. The majority of her years were spent at West Elementary, where she completed her career.
Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday at Cornerstone UMC with Tommy Toombs officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono, where she was a member of the Board of Trustees.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 PM at Emerson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Clem, Alan Ross, Greg Johnson, Tim McDougle, Scott Holloway, and Rob McCall.
Honorary pallbearers include the Willing Disciples Sunday School Class and Dr. Ronald Blachly and his entire staff
