Cheryl Rae Reedy, 63, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Born on December 5, 1961, in Aurora, Illinois, Cheryl was the cherished daughter of Terrie Podschweit and the late Karen Bradford.


Cheryl was a vibrant spirit, known for her love of conversation and her knack for connecting with others. She had a passion for puzzles, and her kitchen was a joyful showcase of her treasured strawberry-themed décor. Cheryl had a gift for holiday decorating, creating warm and festive spaces that brought joy to all who visited. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.


She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Vanessa Rae Reedy; mother, Karen Bradford, and her brother, Dean Podschweit.


Cheryl is survived by her loving family, including her son, Matthew Lawrence; her daughters, Vannah Reedy and Erin Lawrence; her sister, Terri Hawthorn (Mike) and their children; and her adoring grandchildren, Preston Dampier, Carter Dampier, Olivia Taylor, Jacob Lawrence, Hazel Carter, Noah Bounds, Bentley Holland, Lincoln Holland, Ryder Holland, and Kingzley Holland. She also leaves behind her aunt, Wendy Nightingale and several cousins and friends.


In honoring Cheryl's wishes, all services will be private. Her family invites you to celebrate her memory in your own way, cherishing the moments you shared with her and the joy she brought to your life.


Cheryl’s warmth, love, and laughter will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
