Cheryl Elaine Kingery

Cheryl Elaine Kingery, 61, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Phil and Flo Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.

Cheryl was born on July 17, 1962 in St. Louis, MO to Patricia Laverne Talley. She was the oldest of four sisters. She went to school in Doniphan, MO and completed 10th grade. She later obtained her GED and later went on to get certified as a phlebotomist.

Cheryl married the late Earl Kingery in 1996 and they remained living in Muskogee, OK. She worked at Hobby Lobby in the floral department for multiple years and was loved by her coworkers and customers. Making floral arrangements and sewing were two of her favorite pastimes. She then moved on to work at Office Depot and then worked at Wade Pediatrics in insurance and billing until COVID came in 2020.

Cheryl was a Christian and loved to attend church at Muskogee Community Church. Cheryl loved movies, reading, and going to yard sales with her family. She loved her family, getting together and celebrating life. Cheryl was also known for giving to her family and often took them into her home to help them when the need arose. Her nieces and nephews loved spending time with their Aunt Cheri and would often spend the night in her home.

Cheryl took pride in her home and to her family it was a warm and safe place that they could always come home to. She was always there for them in times of crisis or time of sanctuary. Giving them love and teaching them how to grow and become capable adults.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kingery (2006); father, Henry Cook (2008); sister, Mary Maiorino (2014); and mother, Patricia Cook (2014.)

Cheryl is survived by two sisters, Tammie Perkins of Muskogee, OK and Lisa Lawrence (Dave Lawrence/ brother-in-law) of Jonesboro, AR; multiple nieces and nephews, Tim Lawrence, Mike Lawrence (Jordan Lawrence), Jamie Lawrence, Sheila Rhyne, Benjamin Phillips, Michelle Perkins, Amy Coffman (Tackett Hoffman), Duwayne Maiorino (Monica Maiorino), Daniella Michael (Adam Michael), Anthony Maiorino (Kira Maiorino), Brittany Maiorino, Catherine Maiorino, and Matthew Maiorino; and multiple grand nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Cheryl will be held at a later date in Muskogee, OK where her home was for the majority of her life.
