Charlotte Ann Garrett, 79, of Trumann passed from this life on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born to the late Elmer and Mary Cooksey on February 12, 1940. Charlotte spent most of her life living in Trumann and was a member of Jonesboro First Assembly Church. She was a hardworking, independent, God fearing woman who lived to serve the Lord. Known for her contagious smile, and sweet, simple demeanor, she was the heart of the family. Her selflessness and constant nurturing shaped the lives of many and will never be forgotten. In addition to her parents, Charlotte is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Cooksey and Johnny Cooksey.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Brenda Green and Sharron Williams both of Jonesboro; brothers, Joe Cooksey, Tommy Cooksey, Paul Cooksey, and Walter Cooksey; sisters, Mary Morgan, Virginia Breckle, Alphia Eddington, and Pauline Hooper; grandchildren, Sarah Rorex (Matt), Stephen Williams (Mylie), Camillia Roberts (Eric), and Dustin Green (Courtney); and great grandchildren, Riley, Ava, Trace, Chloe, Jaxson, Elliot, Jilly, Leilani, Scarlett, and Sylas.
The visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Emerson funeral Home with Bro. Rick Jensen officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Joe Cooksey, Tommy Cooksey, Dustin Green, Stephen Williams, Adam Williams, and Eric Roberts.
