Charley Vinson

Charley Vinson, 60, of Bay, died Monday, October 4, 2010, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He had lived in Bay for six years, moving there from Bono, and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Charley was a US Army Veteran, loved fishing and was preceded in death by his father, Leon Vinson, and a step-daughter, Melisa Wilburn.

Survivors include his wife of twelve years, Rita Vinson, of the home; sons, Terry Don Vinson of Jonesboro; Brian Treat and Fiancé Cari Tate of Rector; daughters, Leah Vinson Kirby and husband Grant of Jonesboro; Jennifer Stark and husband Jamey of Piggott; Janet Turner of Houston, Texas; mother, Virginia Goodman of Jonesboro; sisters, Mary Alice Montgomery of Jonesboro; Sharon Jordan of Clarksville, Arkansas; Linda Wilson of Memphis, Tennessee; and sixteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 6:00 PM, Thursday night at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Jerry Jolly officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until service time on Thursday. Burial will be private.
