Charles L. Zipfel, 91, of Jonesboro, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Charles was born in Shrewsbury, Missouri on March 10, 1927, to the late Francis and Marie Barteau Zipfel. Charles lived in Jonesboro for 30 years and was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Charles worked as a clerk for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and was a U.S. WWII Army Veteran

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Jaqueline Zipfel, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Survived by his son, Terry Zipfel (Sue) of Jonesboro.

Daughter, Carolyn Hefti ( Michael) of Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Grandchildren, B.J. Zipfel (Mandy), Matt Zipfel (Ashley), Timothy Hefti, Mark Hefti, and Carrie Mason. 9 great-grandchildren

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the Catholic Newman Center with Father Alphonse Gollapalli officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Matt Zipfel, B.J. Zipfel, Mark Hefti, Tim Hefti, Sylis Stone, Kenny Shutz and Craig Buchheit.

Honorary pallbearer will be Carrie Mason.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Building Fund 1107 E Highland Dr, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
