Charles Willhite

Charles Willhite, 80, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home. He had lived in Jonesboro most of his life. Charles was a devout Christian and was instrumental in starting Ridgefield Christian School. He retired as the Assistant Superintendent of Jonesboro Public Schools in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marilyn, of the home; son, Scott Willhite (Amy) of Jonesboro; daughter, Stacy Lambert (Rueben) of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Payton Willhite, Channing Willhite, Phillip Lawrence and Brandi Leigh; and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Teddy Rhea and Dr. Johnny Hutchison officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Friday. Burial will be private.
