Charles W. Willbanks, 74, of Walnut Ridge died on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Charles was born on January 12, 1940 in Cash to the late George and Mary Wilhelm Willbanks. He worked for the family business Willbanks Sand and Gravel until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was of the Baptist belief, and was known for his humor.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tanessa Paige Willbanks; two step sons, Jerry Willbanks, Phillip Willbanks; two brothers, George and Willard Willbanks; five sisters, Sylvia Mounds, Ruby Rhody, Bertha Jobe, Edith Scales, and Gladys Bice.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margery Willbanks of the home; eight sons, William Willbanks (Pamela) of Batesville, Audy Willbanks of Popular Bluff, Bobby Willbanks (Jessica) of Ravenden Springs, Charles Willbanks (Judy) of Jonesboro, Clifford Willbanks (Sherree) L apeer , MI, Larry and Kelvin Willbanks both of Walnut Ridge, and Teddy Willbanks of Flint, MI; three daughters, Deborah Nanny of Jonesboro, Charlotte Pyles (Jerry) of Alicia, and Rosemary Lowery (Valentin Madrigal) of Ravenden Springs; one sister, Carolyn Cummings (Bob) of Detroit, MI; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2pm Thursday in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Michael Parmley officiating. Burial will follow at Clark’s cemetery in Uno. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Emerson Funeral Home.
