Charles W. “Bud” White, 83, of Jonesboro died Monday in Jonesboro. Mr. White was born in Lake City and lived in the Bowman community before moving to Jonesboro in 1958. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. White was retired from G.E. in Jonesboro and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ot and Bettye Ward White; four brothers, James White, Lynn White, Loyce White, and Gene White; and one sister, Doris White.
Survivors include: His wife: Christine White of the home;
2 sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Pam White of Jonesboro, and Rickey and P.Q., of Sunnyvale, Texas; 1 brother: William F. White of Jonesboro; 2 sisters: Jessie Taylor of Columbia, Tennessee, and Norma Huffstedler of Doniphan, Missouri; and 4 grandchildren: Kelly White, Brandon White, Bryan White, and Micah Beard.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia Cemetery with Brother Graig Stull officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
