Charles Wayne Tidwell

Charles Wayne Tidwell, 79 of Jonesboro, passes from this life October 28, 202 at home.  He was born October 13, 1943 to Henry G. and Ollie Odell (Wallace) Tidwell of Jonesboro.  He lived in Jonesboro all of his life and was of the Christian belief. He was an avid Cardinals, Razorbacks, and NASCAR fan.  He worked for the Jonesboro Sun for over 25 years, and then World Color for 13 years before he retired. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 15 years, Barbara, and two great-granddaughters Adalynn & Olivia Cole, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include a son, Randal (Marsha) Tidwell of Brookland; daughters Lisa (Steve) Crawford and Jennifer Carroll of Jonesboro. One step-daughter Kristie (David) Morgan of Jonesboro, Grandchildren Amanda (Daniel) Stevens of JONSBORO; Cynthia (Justin) Smith of Colorado Springs, Co; Tara (Tim) Cole, Tyler Cooper, and Tanner Cooper of Jonesboro. Step-granddaughter Candyce (Ross) Gartman of Satellite Beach, FL, Great grandson Chase Smith of Colorado Springs, Co.; Great Grand-daughter Brooklynn Stevens and great grandsons Aaron Stevens, Walker and Oliver Cole of Jonesboro.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude’s Hospital and the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will be private.
