Charles Leon Terrell

Charles Leon Terrell, 75, of Lake City passed from this life May 28, 2016 at his home. He was born October 26, 1940 in Guntersville, Alabama to the late Bill and Jewel Terrell.

Charles lived most of his life in the Lake City area after coming from Arab, Alabama. Charles was of the Baptist belief.

Charles was such a hard worker who was very skilled and mechanically minded. Charles was owner of Terrell Heating & Air Conditioning, which he operated for over 30 years.

He was also an avid musician who enjoyed his guitar. Most of all Charles loved his family and will be missed dearly by them and all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister: Linda Davis; one son: Charles Douglas Terrell; and his former wife and best friend: Marie Terrell.

Charles is survived by his two sons: Donnie (Vicki) Terrell and Steve (Cindy) Terrell both of Lake City; one brother: Dennis Terrell of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters: Jean(Richard) Despain of Lake City and Dianne(Keith) Edmondson of Arab, Alabama; five grandchildren: Sean(Allison) Terrell, Layne Terrell, Adam Terrell, Aaron Terrell, and Renee Terrell, all of Lake City; and one great grandchild: Ellie Terrell.

A visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at The First Baptist Church in Lake City.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m.Thursday, June 2, 2016 at The First Baptist Church in Lake City with Pastor Rick Davis officiating. Honorary pallbearers will include: John Throgmorton, Mike Sullivan, Owen Slater, Steve Carner, Shelby Davis, and Richard Despain .

Burial will be private.
