Charles Ray "Charlie" Stone

Mr. Charles Ray “Charlie” Stone of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the age of 68. He was born November 11, 1953, in Rantoul, IL.
Charlie was a Field Audit Manager for the State of Arkansas, and a member of Central Baptist Church for 40 years and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed, deer hunting, turkey hunting, gardening, and taking care of the yard. Charlie would spend a lot of his time golfing, working in the youth church activities, Nettleton Baptist Bus Ministry, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Vernon Travis Stone; paternal grandparents, John & Myrtle Stone; maternal grandparents, Lester & Florence Brady; several aunts and uncles, Joe & Pauline Rankin, Carrington & Nina Hudson, Cardwell & Linnie Stone, and Horace & Wanda Stone.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Beth Stone of the home; his mother, Fredreca ‘Brady’ Stone of Jonesboro; two sons, Christopher (Amber) Stone of Jonesboro, Phil (Dana) Phillips of Lowell, AR ; one daughter, Amy (Justin Williams) Stone of Pensacola, FL; one brother, Travis (Nancy) Stone of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Luke Phillips, Ella Phillips, Van Stone, Braden Williams; two special cousins, Caroline (Bill) Duke, Paula (Dr. Mike) Thompson; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, on Saturday, April 9, 2022, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Archie Mason officiating with burial at Lawrence Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Andy VanGilder, Adrain Wyatt, David Sneed, Paul Scott, Gary Pospisil, Kavin Davis, Jeff Carter, Brad Bauer, and Jim Tubbs. Honorary Pallbearers will include Dylan Carter, Ronnie Escue, Rohn Craft, Jack Fortenberry, Bill Duke, Joe Duke, and Bill Fritz.
