Charles H. Stewart

December 15, 1946 — January 29, 2017

Charles H. Stewart, 70, of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, January 29, 2017 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born December 15, 1946 in Grenada, Mississippi to the late Charles H. Sr. and Agnes Stewart. Charlie worked for over 45 years in the heat and air business. He was on the advisory board at ASU in Marked Tree and also taught classes there. Charlie was very active in the HVAC organization and he retired this past spring after working 22 years at Jonesboro Winair Company.

He was a member at Central Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. Charlie also taught Sunday school class and helped start up the TV Ministry at Central Baptist. He was also the RA Director for missions for boys. Charlie enjoyed riding his tractor and spending time in his workshop. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janet Stewart of the Home; 2 daughters, Kimberley Stewart of Jonesboro, Kelley (Alex) Elizalde of Fort Worth Texas; Son, Joshua (Kelly) Stewart of Cypress, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Reese Stewart, Haidyn Stewart, Ryann Stewart, Alyson Elizalde all of Texas and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Central Baptist Church with Brother Archie Mason and Larry Bailey officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 pm prior to the service.
