Charles Elmo Russell, 83, of Jonesboro died August 17, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Bay, Arkansas on December 6, 1929 to Brodie and Etta Russell. Charles had lived in Jonesboro most of his life and was a retired auto sale parts man. He was a member of the Stone Street First Assembly of God Church and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marion Russell and 5 brothers.
Survived by his wife; Ruth Russell of the home.
Sons; Lymon Russell (Ruby) of Jonesboro and Gaylon Russell (Pam) of Pocahontas.
Daughters; Louise Russell and Sheila Bearden both of Jonesboro, Paula Nicholson (Vernon) of Farmington, Missouri and Sharon Pope of Bono.
Brothers; Eugene Russell, Bobby Russell, Willard Russell all of Jonesboro and Dale Russell of Ravenden, Arkansas.
Sisters; Betty Gibson, Christine Grimes and Brenda Fletcher all of Jonesboro.
13 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday August 20, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Byron Griffey officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will be Zack Pope, Andrea Mashburn, Nick Russell, Charles Russell, Michael Russell, Matt Bearden and Blake Bearden.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. August 19, at Emerson Funeral Home.
