Charles S. Reeves, 93, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed from this life June 10, 2016 at The Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Little Rock.
He was born in Hayti, Missouri May 8, 1923 to the late Clarence and Terressie Reeves.
He lived most of his life residing in Jonesboro after coming from Braggadocio, Missouri. Charles was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He was a member of the Lions Club at University Heights, Masonic Member, and the Gold Wing Riders Association. Charles was a large supporter of the VoTech School conducted with in Jonesboro High school. He spent time in the U.S. Navy during WWII while being stationed on the Atlantic Coast.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his Wife, Odessa Reeves, of 66 years of marriage. And one sister: Geraldine Baynes.
Charles is survived by three daughters in Arkansas: Carmen (Steve) Branum of Mabelvale, Carol (Ed) Bone of North Little Rock, and Cathy Bell of Maumelle; three brothers: James (Millie) Reeves Littleton, CO, Eldon(Louise) Reeves of Sommerville, TN, and William (Karen) Reeves of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be Private at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
For lasting memorials family ask that donations be made to Walnut Street Baptist Church.
