Charles Rankin

Charles N. Rankin, age 76, of Jonesboro died Friday morning at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

A native of Jonesboro, he worked for Walt Disney as a designer, draftsman, and engineer while building Disneyland. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a graduate of Jonesboro High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Gladys Davis Rankin; and a sister, Marion Butler.

He is survived by a brother, Tommy Rankin of Jonesboro; and a sister, Louise May of Memphis.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Jonesboro Memorial Park, with Dennis Duncan officiating.

There will be no visitation.
