Charles Edward Moore, 84, of Jonesboro, died, Friday, July 19, 2024, at Arkansas Continued Care. He was born in Jonesboro on February 29, 1940, to Kennett and Annie Moore. Jonesboro was considered his home base while serving his country in the US Air Force for over 25 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for OSHA for over 20 years. His hobbies included seeing America while traveling in an RV. He always found time for fishing and tinkering with his many handyman projects. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his sons, Keith Moore of Deltona Florida; Jerry Moore of Florida; daughter, Sherry Willis and husband Mike of Deltona, Florida; brother, Randy Moore of Jonesboro; sisters, JoAnn Scott of Shreveport, Louisiana; Fay Carter and Jannice Metcalf both of Jonesboro; and one grandchild, Ashley. Graveside services with full military honors will be 1:00 Friday, July 26, 2024, at Birdeye Veterans Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. His nephews will be his honorary pallbearers. All other services will be private.
