Charles Lee McGinnis, 70, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born in Jonesboro where he lived his entire life and was a tool box worker for Able Sheet Metal and also a bus driver for the Valley View School.

He was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ and a National Guard Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen McGinnis; parents, Erstel and Hazel Eaggers McGinnis; son, Charlie McGinnis; daughter, Donna McGinnis; and sister, Marie Allen.

Survived by his son, Albert Lee McGinnis of Jonesboro.

Daughters, Maxine Craig and Debra Langston both of Jonesboro, Jamie Barrett of Caraway and Diane Perkins of Manhattan, Kansas.

Brothers, Harold McGinnis of Jonesboro and Wayne McGinnis of Cherry Valley.

Sister, Patsy Skinner of Trumann.
12 grandchildren and 5 great granddaughters.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday August 19, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Jimmy Ferguson, Jimmy Young, and Scott Perkins officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Active pallbearers will be Tim Leonard, Matt Leonard, Dustin Williamson, Little Mac Leonard, Dennis Bruce and Buddy Wheeley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Leonard, David Smith and Ryan Smith.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
