Charles “Bud” Marshall, 64 of Jonesboro, died Saturday, November 25, 2006, at his home. He was born in Monette, Arkansas and moved from Caraway, Arkansas to Jonesboro in 1969. Bud was of the Baptist belief and had worked for the Craighead County Sheriff’s Department for thirteen years, the Jonesboro Police Department for twenty years, retiring as Assistant Chief of Police.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents Audrey Lee and Mary Lou Marshall, and a brother, Wayne Marshall. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Linda Sue Marshall; three sons and daughters-in-law, David Anthony (Tony) Marshall; Robert Lynn and Karri Marshall; Adam Christian and Vonda Marshall, all of Jonesboro.
Three grandchildren, Kalli Xan Marshall, Kameron Klaire (Kami) Marshall, and Ella Grace Marshall, along with one sister, Pat Jackson all of Jonesboro are also survivors.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2006 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Waymon Holt officiating and burial to follow at Monette Cemetery with the Jonesboro Police Department Honor Guard providing Law Enforcement Honors and Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Jonesboro Police Department Honor Guard will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are past and present members of: the Jonesboro Police Department, the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office, the Craighead County Fair Board, and a host of friends too numerous to mention. Visitation will be from 6 – 8, Sunday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
