Charles Lee James

March 15, 1941 — August 31, 2013

Charles Lee James, 72, of Jonesboro died Saturday at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg.

Charles James was born to the late Leonard and Lillian James in Craighead County. He worked as a supervisor for General Motors for 35 years, and was partners in upscale men’s store in Fairfax, MO. After retirement he moved back to Jonesboro to be near his sisters. He was a Mason, Shiner, and a Scottish Rite while he lived in Missouri.

He is survived by four sisters, Barbara Cummings (Rudy), Becky Locke (Gary), Brenda Barker, and Penny Luster; one niece, Holly Barker all of Jonesboro; a special friend, Charlie Finlay of Cherry Valley; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service is planned for Wednesday morning 11:00am at Nettleton Cemetery with Pastor Ricky Clark officiating. Bagpipes will be performed at graveside by Mr. James nephew, Luke Luster from the Jonesboro Fire Departments Honor Guard Pipes and Drums, and Emerson Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday morning at Emerson Funeral Home from 930-1030am. Honorary pallbearers are John Brinkle, OD Moore, Charlie Finlay, and Stephan and Andy Locke.
