Charles Hardin Hunt

January 28, 1921 — June 4, 2007

CHARELS HARDIN HUNT, 86, of Jonesboro, died Monday June 4, 2007 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and lived in Jonesboro for 20 years after moving from Paragould, Arkansas.

He was an active member of the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp and proudly stood atop George Washington’s head when Mt. Rushmore was first made.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Mae Hunt; and his daughter, Lottie Mae Hunt.

He is survived by his three sons, Robert Hunt of Neelyville, Missouri, Charles Hunt of Imboden, Arkansas, and James Monroe Hunt of Corning, Arkansas; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
