Charles Cebert Hale, 82 of Lake City, passed from this life Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center due to complications of myasthenia gravis He was born December 31, 1937 to C.C. and Berta Adams Hale in Lester, Arkansas. Charles was a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had owned his own machine shop for 18 years and then retired from Thomas & Betts. Charles enjoyed the St, Louis Cardinals, traveling, watching westerns and visiting with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Alta Hale and Christine Pillow; 2 brothers, Albert & Elvis Hale.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marcella Hale of the home; daughter, Annette (Bud) Mann of Lake City; grandchildren, Kathy (Nick) Dumond and James (Jerra) Mann. Great Grandchildren, Ally and Seth Mann, Drake and Dawson Faulkner, Addalynn and Harper, Hadley Mann, Addleigh Dumond and Aubrey Page; 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 10 am to 12 noon at Emerson Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Thursday afternoon at 2 pm at Pine Log Cemetery with Leon Harvey officiating. Pallbearers include men of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
