Charles “Cowboy” Goodson Sr., 67, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walnut Ridge. He was born on July 1, 1949 to the late Noble Wayne and Martha Lee Lane Goodson. Cowboy had lived in Walnut Ridge for 7 years, moving there from Jonesboro. He was a horse trader, D.J. and loved to show children how to ride.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dean Greene.
Survived by his sons, Charles “Chuck” Goodson (Shaunda) of Jonesboro.
Shane Goodson of Jonesboro and Justin Eddington of Fayetteville.
Daughters, Vickie Taylor (Jeff) of Beech Grove.
Dean Swan (Kenny) of Paragould.
Brook Reynolds (Eric) of Brookland.
Nikki Magee (Joseph) of Jonesboro.
Brother, Jimmy Goodson of Paragould.
15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Cowboy’s Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday September 23, 2016 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dub Holt officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. until service time on Friday in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorials be made to the Wild Wind Arena, P.O. Box 741, Imboden, Arkansas 72434.
