Charles Roy Golden

Charles “Charlie” Roy Golden, 61, of Jonesboro passed from this life, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Charlie was born in Trumann to the late Robert and Viola Golden on February 22, 1953. He lived most of his life in Jonesboro and was a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church. Charlie was a loving husband and father who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Georgetta Golden, brothers; Robert Ray Golden, Donald Wayne Golden, David Lee Golden and James Dale Golden.

He is survived by his second wife; Mary Golden of the home, sons; Chad Golden and Charlie Poore of Jonesboro, one brother; Allen (Nancy) Golden of Harrisburg, sisters; Barbara (James) McQuay of Franklin, Rose Boyd of Harrisburg, Brenda (Chuck) Walls of Bay, Darlene Kain of Bay, and Kay (Bill) Abernathy of Piggott, grandchildren; Chase Golden and Josh Poore both of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Rutherford Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bill Newton, Don Sharp, John Owens, Mackie Hufstedler, Don Bibb, and Daniel Aspinwall. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Charlie’s Hytrol family.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Emerson Funeral Home.
