Charles Glass

Charles Glass, 81, of Flower Mound, TX formerly of Jonesboro, AR passed from this life Thursday, July 16, 2020 at his home. He was born to the late Clyde and Wilmeda Glass Stout in Monette, AR on February 19, 1939.

Charles was a graduate of Arkansas State University with a BBA in Business, and while attending he served as president of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. In addition, he attended officer candidate school where he was awarded outstanding trainee and became a Lieutenant in the Army.  Charles was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for over 20 years, a Deacon at Beech Street First Baptist Church of Texarkana AR, and later a deacon at First Baptist Church of Bay, AR.  While in Texarkana he was honored by Mike Huckabee as an appointed Justice of the Peace and simultaneously running Lil Angels Photography Franchise that he Co-Founded.

Charles’ enthusiasm for golf and antique cars was only out shadowed by the love he had for his family.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Glass Teaster.

Charles is survived by his wife, Linda Ballard Glass, of the home; daughter, Melissa Glass Stover (Keith) Rebstock; son, David Charles Ballard (Christina) Glass; grandchildren, Jared Stover, Skye Stover, Paige Rebstock, Sydney Rebstock, Caitlyn Glass, Gibson Glass,; and 4 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10am Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home with Brother Danny Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Keith Rebstock, Jared Stover, Skye Stover, Chris Stone, Gibson Glass, Randy Mink, and Dennis Cate
