IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Nicholas "Nick"
Gant III
November 19, 1945 – December 6, 2025
Charles Nicholas “Nick” Gant III, age 80, of Brookland, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025. He was born November 19, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was a 1963 graduate of East High School in Memphis. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy.
Nick was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Charliena “Charlie” Prewitt Gant; his father, Charles Nicholas Gant Jr.; and his dear sister, Charlotte Gant Poletti.
He is survived by his four loving children: Treva Gant McLuer of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; Cerez Gant Przybylinski of Nashville, TN; Charles Nicholas “Nick” Gant IV (Christine) of Collierville, TN; and Bethany Gant Galloway of Greers Ferry, AR; as well as nine grandchildren: Ian Kirkland, Damean McLuer, Rachel Galloway, Olivia Pearce, Lily Przybylinski, Tierney McLuer, Braden Gant, Charlie Gant, and Nicholas Gant; and his great-grandchildren, nephew, nieces, cousins, and extended family.
Nick formed connections easily and sincerely. His lifelong and newly made friends were vitally important to him, and he stayed closely in touch, always ready to lend a hand.
In his later years, he fully embraced his growing resemblance to St. Nick, serving as one of Santa’s official representatives during the holidays. He loved sharing Christmas cheer at parties, parades, and even in restaurants where children often stared as Santa enjoyed his meal.
Nick never planned to retire—staying active was simply who he was. He operated his industrial and collectible salvage business for many years and kept working until his health no longer allowed.
Service details will be shared at a later date.
