Charles Emerson

Charles Emerson, 75, of Jonesboro died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area and was of the Christian belief. He loved and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, of 54 years, of the home; three daughters Barbara Rutherford, Cordova, Tennessee; Reca Smith and husband Rick of Montgomery, Alabama; Kay Emerson, Jonesboro; two brothers Granville Emerson Jr. , Harrisburg, Arkansas; Bill Emerson, Westmoreland, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jason Emerson , Brianna Smith, and Bradley Smith.

A visitation will be from 5-7 Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Emerson Funeral Home. There will be no services and burial will be private. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
