Charles Snyder, 81, of Lake City, Arkansas, passed from this life Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born Oct. 14, 1933, in Dixie, Arkansas, to Conrad and Mae Snyder. He is of the Christian faith and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary, his parents, two brothers, Donald and Jerome, a sister, Joyce Cobb, and by an infant sister and brother.
Survivors include two sons, Dewayne (Sandra) of Lake City and Scott (Karen) of Jonesboro, seven grandchildren, Teryna Neff of Jonesboro, Edward Harbin of Jonesboro, Kelly, Keith, and Jeff Snyder, all of Cedar City, Utah, and Jaron and Marlee Snyder of Jonesboro, two brothers, Curt (Pam) Snyder of Paragould and Gary (Vickie) Snyder of Jonesboro, five sisters, Wilma (Neal) Hall of Hernando, Mississippi, Linda Brewington of Paragould, Nora Snyder of Jonesboro, and Laverne Bonnette and Cindy Jones, both of Ore City, Texas, 10 great grandchildren, an uncle, Harold Boling of Edgewood, Texas, sisters-in-law, Glenda Snyder, Elizabeth Snyder, Artanes Eaton, Norene Sims, Mary Edith Sims, Dorothy Sims, brothers-in-law, Perry Sims, Charlie Sims, and Joe Sims, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held between 10 and 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Services will follow at 11. Burial will be private.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 400 East Street, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
