Charles Edward Davis

Charles Edward Davis, 76, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born October 14, 1948 in Jonesboro to the late Richard and Emma Davis. Charles attended both Booker T Washington and Jonesboro High School.

He joined the United States Army where he was sent to Vietnam. While there he became sick and sent him to a hospital in Okan, Japan. Upon coming back to the United States he was stationed in New British, Connecticut. There he met and married Carolyn (Earls) Davis. To this union there were 4 children.

He leaves to cherish his memories a sister, Peola Prunty of Jonesboro; 4 brothers: Roger Davis, Bobby Davis and Danny Davis all of Jonesboro and Randy (Gale) Davis of Sherwood; a nephew that was a son to him, Philip Tate; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Charles was proceeded in death by his 2 sons, one daughter, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dan Freeman officiating. Pallbearers will be his nephews of the Davis family, Prunty family, Wolf family, Anderson family, Lloyd family and Box family.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

The family of Charles E. Davis would like to thank everyone for their calls, texts, cards, flowers and food.
