Born June 26,1949, to the late James Monroe and Lucille Coburn, he was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane Kizer Coburn, one daughter, Tracy Lewis of Ozark, one son, Brandon Coburn (Alana) of Batesville, one sister, Susie Coburn, and one brother, John L. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Becky Blevin, and six brothers and sisters.
Charles graduated from Wilson High School, where he played football. He served in the United States Air Force until 1971, then moved his family back to Northeast Arkansas. He loved all things Elvis, was an avid Razorback and A-State fan, loved fishing and going to the dirt track races. Everyone loved his banana pudding, sweet tea, and fried chicken. More than anything, he loved his family. He was always there for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He had a contagious laugh and was known as the fixer of all things and the person to call if you ever needed anything. He truly was the best husband, dad, and papaw anyone could have and will be deeply missed.
