Charles (Chip) R. Black IV, age 48, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away on March 20 th , 2019 in Jonesboro. Chip was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles R. Black III and wife Judy on March 19 th , 1971. He went to school at Jonesboro High School. He graduated Arkansas State University with a degree in Sports Management. He was an avid Red Wolves fan and never missed a game. He loved to go fishing and was very involved with Crossroads Church in Jonesboro. Chip is preceded in death by his father Charles R. Black III, his mother Judy L. Sikes, step-father Michael D. Sikes, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Black Jr of Corning, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Noel B. Turner of Corning.
Chip is survived by sister Dana Black Zyskowski and husband Paul, nieces Victoria and Abigail, brother James Black and wife Bec, and brother Matt Black and wife Lindsey, nieces Bella and Charley.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, and funeral services will be immediately following at 2:00 pm March 25 th at Emerson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Archer officiating. Burial will be private
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Arkansas State University Red Wolves Athletic Department. The family of Chip Black wishes to extend their thanks to the emergency staff at St. Bernard Hospital and Milton Harbison of Emerson Funeral Home.
