Charles Andrew Champlain (Champlin)

October 5, 1964 – November 4, 2024

Charles “Charlie” Andrew Champlain, 60, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2024, at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, NJ, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Charlie later made his home in Wildwood and North Cape May, New Jersey, where he shared a life filled with adventure and love. Prior to his illness, Charlie and his beloved wife, Patricia (Schlarp), had embarked on a journey as retirees, traveling across the country and making lasting memories.

Charlie is survived by Patricia, his devoted wife; his son, John Andrew (Aja); and three cherished grandchildren, Brooke, Andrew, and Daniel. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who remember him fondly. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, John Champlin and Kathleen Inis Pugh, and his siblings, Jimmy (aka Bo), Donna Rynn, and Candy Michelle.

A private service will be held on 11/13/2024, at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR, where Charlie will be laid to rest alongside his grandparents and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Lung Association’s Smoking Cessation Programs (https://www.lung.org) , where all contributions this month will be doubled for Lung Cancer Awareness Month. If you are a smoker, please consider quitting in his honor.
