Charles “Monroe” Bunch, 76 of Jonesboro, passed from this life March 29, 2016 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Black Oak, March 20, 1940 to Charles and Mertle McChalthy Bunch. He served in the US Navy and was self-employed in the heating and air business. Afterwards, he worked at Dana and retired from there. Monroe enjoyed fishing, karaoke, computers and spending time with his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter in 1976, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Shirley, of the home; 3 daughters, Teresa Kain of Bono, Peggy Parker of Williford and Tonya Couch of Lake City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Needham Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Russell and Doug Wellborn officiating. There will be no visitation and burial will be private.
