Charles Ester Bowie

Charles E. Bowie, 87, of Paragould formerly of Jonesboro passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1935 in Ebola, Arkansas to the late Charles and Vera Bowie. Charles was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church in Brookland. He enjoyed wood working, wood burning, fishing, traveling, reading and computers. Charles was a wonderful father and loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by several siblings including his brother who recently passed, Bill Bowie.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Joann Bowie of the home; son, Chuck (Beverly) Bowie of Paragould; 2 daughters, Joyce Bowie of St. Petersburg, Florida, Cheryl Hamm of Paragould; 3 grandchildren: Michael (Pam) Hamm of Denver, Colorado, Jonathan Hamm of Ithaca, New York, Natalie Bowie of St. Petersburg, Florida; 2 step-grandchildren, Felice Ferris, Jason Ferris; 2 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren.
