Charles B. Davis, 83, of Jonesboro, died Monday afternoon at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Born in Bernie, Missouri, Charles lived in Lake City and Trumann before moving to the Jonesboro area in 1943. He was a retired horse trader and attended Nettleton Church of God. Charles was known all over the region as an avid and active horse trader.
Charles was a member of the American Quarterhorse Association and was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Bill, Dick and Cotton Davis, and by a sister: Myrtle Kimberland.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Marie Davis of the home;
1 Son: Charlie Davis of Jonesboro;
2 Daughters and Sons-in-law: Glenda and Glenn Patterson, and
Linda and Lloyd Nelms, all of Jonesboro;
5 Grandchildren:
Keri Swan, Cody Glenn Patterson, Tiffany Glynn Patterson, Scotty Nelms and
Lynette Tilley; and
3 Great Grandchildren: Caleb Anderson, Clayton Nelms and Larry Tilley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
