Charles Allen

Charles Allen, 77 of Jonesboro, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Originally from Dixie, Arkansas, Charles lived in Jonesboro most of his life. He was a retired salesman for Bost Office Systems. Charles was a longtime member of AA and it was his calling in life to help others overcome their addictions. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Magnolia Road Baptist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents George and Jennie Allen; 4 brothers, Rhouis Allen, Malvin Allen, Jim Allen and Bill Allen; 1 sister, Mildred Armstrong; and daughter, Charlotte Allen.

Survivors include son, Chad Allen of Jonesboro; daughter, Chasiti Ward of Fisher; 2 sisters, Frances Tyus of Darlington, PA and Barbara Fore of Logan, Utah; and granddaughter Kursty Ward.

Family and friends will meet to celebrate his life Monday, July 1, 2013 at Emerson Funeral Home from 5-8.
