Charlene Rose Allen

Charlene Rose Allen, 59, of Jonesboro, died Saturday June 8 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

Born in St. Louis, Charlene moved to Jonesboro 25 years ago. She worked several years in retail before becoming medically disabled and was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro. Charlene was preceded in death by her father, Charles Brodell Sr.

Survivors include her son, Brian (Angela) Allen, stationed with the U.S. Marines in Japan;

Her mother, Francis Collins Brodell of Jonesboro;

Her faithful companion, Wendell Tilley of Jonesboro;

1 brother, Charles (Eillen) Brodell of Imperial, Missouri;

2 sisters, Catherine (Michael) Windle of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Mary Brodell of Jonesboro; and

3 grandchildren, Arias Allen, Phylicia Callahan and Mia Gardner.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bradley Robinson officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held Monday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
