Chadwick “Chad” Grimes, 45, of Lake City died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Jonesboro and lived his life in Lake City. Chad was a member of Lake City First Baptist Church. He loved to duck hunt and enjoyed deer hunting and being outdoors. In his younger years, he worked on a farm and the worked at Hytrol Conveyor Company Inc. for over 21 years. He enjoyed NASCAR and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhart Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Limuel and Lavada Grimes and Madge and Oscar Wiles.
Survivors include his parents, Ken and Peggy Grimes of Lake City; brothers, Eric Grimes of Jonesboro; Chris Grimes of Lake City; nieces Erica Grimes, Kirsten Grimes, Leah Grimes; Nephew, Garrett Grimes; Aunts, Auntie Pam, Annetta Ray, Patsy McMasters and Carolyn Grimes; many cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Lake City Cemetery with Brother Rick Davis officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5-7 Friday night at the Emerson Memorial Chapel.
