Mr. Chad Barrett Davison, age 42, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday January 25, 2014, from injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident in Jonesboro.
Chad was born in Jonesboro on July 31, 1971, and was a 1989 graduate of Westside High School. He is survived by his son, Cody Davison of Jonesboro, his Mother and Stepfather, Patricia and Aubrey Sumpter of Jonesboro, Brother and Sister-in-law, Dru and Sharon Davison of Memphis, Stepbrother Jon Sumpter of Rogers, Stepsister Audra of Mountain Home, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chad was preceded in death by his Father, Billy “Don” Davison. Chad had a career as a carpenter and construction supervisor, and was currently a graduate student at Arkansas State University, having recently completed Associates and Bachelor’s Degrees in Science with a Minor in Psychology. Chad enjoyed playing guitar, hunting, writing poetry, and being with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dan Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Dru Davison, Paul Davison, Aubrey Sumpter, Nathan Bratten, Corey Davison, Chip Carroll, Troy Smith, and Russell Cole.
The family requests lasting memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
