Cepriana Sue Brown, 72, of rural Lake City, died Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born in Hondo, Texas, Sue lived much of her life in Monette, Lake City and Lunsford. She worked 27 years for St. Bernards Medical Center and later for Arkansas State University Health Center. Following she worked as a care giver which she loved tremendously.
She was a member of Lunsford Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Brown, by a daughter, Melanie Rogers, by her parents, Narcecil and Sara Sanchez, by a brother, Alfred Sanchez, and by a sister, Ruby Shempert.
Survivors include:
3 daughters and sons-in-law: Diane and Tom Underwood of Paragould, Edna and Billy Moore of Harrisburg, and Annette Foster of Bay;
2 sons and daughter-in-law: Vince and Jennnifer Brown of Jonesboro and Anthony Brown of Lunsford;
2 brothers, Richard Sanchez and Billy Sanchez, both of Bay;
4 sisters, Pauline Cullen of Mattoon, Illinois, Mary DeBow of Franklin, Arkansas, Patsy Forehand of Brookland and Jeanie Johnson of Bay;
16 grandchildren: T.J. Underwood, Christian Underwood, Sean Underwood, Caley Brown Griffith, Josh Brown, Nicolas Box, Jake Caudle, Amber Blake, Cody Moore, Ashley Moore, Tiffany Hoke, Chance Curtner, Zoie Brown, Madelyn Brown, Alexis Brown and Cameron Brown; and
6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
Private burial will be in Pine Log Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Vincent Brown, Anthony Brown, Richard Sanchez, Brian Dickens, Billy Moore and Tom Underwood. Honorary pallbearers include: Ricky Sanchez, Billy Sanchez, Larry Caudle, Michael Forehand, Donald Forehand, Alfred Forehand.
