Cecil Poynor

Cecil R. Poynor, 69, of Jonesboro died July 16, 2015 at his home. He was born in Jonesboro on November 17, 1945 to the late Louie and Ollie Mae Eason Poynor. He had lived in Jonesboro his entire life and was of the Pentecostal belief. He was a construction worker and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters.

Survived by his wife; Carolyn Poynor of the home.

Son; Jonathan Poynor of Jonesboro.

Daughter; Audrey Poynor of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

Brothers; Don Poynor of Boyle, Mississippi and Bob Poynor of Elpaso, Texas.

Sister; Marie McCain of Brookland.

3 Grandchildren; Brian Poynor, Koen Poynor and Talyn Poynor.

All services will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

The family requested a special verse from Isaiah Chapter 40, verse 31; But those who trust in the LORD
will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary;
they will walk and not faint.
