Cecil F. Barnett Jr., 65, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday December 1, 2007 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born in Marianna, Arkansas and lived in Jonesboro for fifty one years. He was a retired furniture dealer, owner and operator of C & F Distinctive Home Furnishings in Jonesboro. He was a member of First Christian Church in Jonesboro where he was the choir director for forty four years and a member of the Over the Hill Gang, The Thunderbirds Band.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil F. Barnett Sr. and Cleo Meredith Flippin.
Survived by his loving wife; Sandra Barnett of the home.
One son; Jeff Barnett and daughter in-law Charlette of Kansas City, Kansas.
Two daughters; Debbie Papich and son in-law Will of Decatur, Alabama.
Cheri Tims of Jonesboro.
Step mother; Martha Jean Barnett of Jonesboro.
Step sister; Becky Urton of Rock Island, Ill.
Carolyn Hudgins of Plano, Texas.
Six Grandchildren; J.J. Barnett, Tyler Barnett, Angela Tims, Hillary Papich, Mallory Papich and Matthew Papich.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday December 4, 2007 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Monday December 3, 2007 at the Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers will be J.J. Barnett, Tyler Barnett, Thomas Quinn Tims, Kyle Tims, Mike Rinaldi, Greg Dudley, Chris Dudley and Bill Winchester.
Honorary pallbearers will be the board of directors of First Christian Church and Highland Drive Christian Church.
