Catherine Shipman

Mrs. Catherine Shipman, 61, of Jonesboro died Thursday, February 3, 2011, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

She was born June 7, 1949, at San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn Drummond.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Shipman of Newark; one son, Tim Cothern and wife Paige of Jonesboro; two daughters, Tonya Phelps and finance Stacey Littlejohn of Jonesboro, Tracie Norris and husband Shelby of Jonesboro; one brother, Bill Drummond of Wynne; nine grandchildren, Kristen Gahr, Nicholas Cothern, Allison Blackman, Joshua Berry, Sarah Blackman, Jacob Noles, Trey Norris, Zach Phelps, and Taylor Cothern.

Visitation will be Monday night from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Her life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Don Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shelby Norris, Lonnie Cothern, Stacey Littlejohn, and B.J. Wallace.
