Catherine Quinn

January 5, 1937 — February 28, 2013

Catherine Quinn, 76, of Jonesboro, died February 28, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Harry & Florence Schultz Adams but had lived in Jonesboro since 1973. Catherine was a member of First Baptist Church where she was active with the Celebrate Recovery Sunday School Class. She loved her children and doted over her grandchildren and grand dogs. She was always willing to help others and helped change lives through her work with AA and Weight Watchers. She was very involved with school functions for her children and grandchildren and was known to cook meals for their friends. She was very patriotic and loved the armed services, especially the Marines.

Catherine is survived by her children, Kelli (Ray) Culpepper, Lara (Harry) Hurst all of Jonesboro, and Richard (Shawna) Quinn, of Rockwall, TX; her grandchildren, Lee & Cody Culpepper, Megan & Matthew Fowler, Tyler Hurst, Colston, Carrigan, Christian, and Callie Quinn; and her sister, Ruth Lange of Chicago, IL.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rae Quinn; and 2 siblings.

A celebration of Catherine’s life will be Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Kathy Holler officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers will include the staff of the Total Life Care Center, and the Celebrate Recovery Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the church.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the First Baptist Care Center, 701 S. Main, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401; or a charity of the donor’s choice.
